The Good Gardener (On How He Fell)
Written by Glenn Richards

JB's boobtube

guitar tab by Tim Byron

The Good Gardener, track eleven on Augie March's debut album "Sunset Studies,"
is in 4/4 and uses the EADABE tuning, similar to their songs "Rich Girl" and
"The Moth Ball." I've transcribed it as tablature mostly, because the finger-
picking is quite complex. Due to Glenn's habit of writing verbose lyrics, the
lyrics don't quite match up to the chords. Hopefully you'll be able to work it
out despite that.

Black rock bound in the Brighton bowl where the seas of desolation roll,

Where you're borne and borne and borne in again
To the pebble|-feather shore of forgotten friends

Think how you can't see the science without seeing first the self,
But then nobody thinks of growing somebody else,

So why shouldn't I kiss the beautiful girl?
